Water Restrictions
The Beardy Waters Weir is at 100% supply level. The average daily water consumption for Glen Innes for the week ending Thursday, 12 November was 1.8 megalitres. No water restrictions are in force.
Because the weir's capacity is relatively small, Council asks residents to use water wisely at all times. Please consider the following hints:
· Take a shorter shower;
· Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth;
· When peeling vegetables, rinse them in a plugged sink;
· Wash the car using a bucket and sponge, and just use the hose for a final rinse;
· Match the water setting on your washing machine with the amount of laundry you’re washing;
· Check the toilet, taps and pipes for leaks.
